Disturbed’s David Draiman revealed via a series of Twitter postings that he’s working on a new project.
The vocalist described it as “industrial”-based in the vein of acts like Nine Inch Nails and Ministry. More
will be revealed when he appears on the May 26th episode of VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show…..Marilyn
Manson and actor Johnny Depp will team up on record. EW.com reports that Depp joins Manson
for a cover of the Carly Simon classic, “You’re So Vain,” which will turn up on Manson’s forthcoming
album, “Born Villain.”
Grouplove will issue a limited edition 7-inch vinyl release of “Don’t Stand Too Close To The Sun” with a
b-side featuring a live version of “Tongue Tied” for Record Store Day (Apr. 21).…..Cinder Road’s Mike
Ruocco has ventured out on his own for the new solo set, “The Rise. The Ride. The Risk,” which will be
released digitally June 12th. The disc features the upbeat single, “Too Late,” which is expected at radio
later this month.
Feist is ready for the warm weather to kick in. The singer has booked a series of North American shows
that will begin next month at Coachella. The vocalist, touring in support of her “Metals” album, will
remain in North American through early August. (see ROCK ON THE ROAD)…..One of last year’s buzz
acts, tUnE-yArDs, looks to keep the momentum going this spring. Look for a new batch of shows kicking

Charm City Devils have pushed back the release date of their “Sins” album from April 1st to April
10th. They’re already hitting with the lead single, “Man Of Constant Sorrow.”……Items from Anthrax’s
Scott Ian and Charlie Benante, Helmet’s Page Hamilton, The Cult’s John Tempesta, Ministry’s
Al Jourgensen, and more will be included in Backstage Auctions upcoming “Rock Gods And Metal

and runs through April 29th.
Neil Young has reunited with his band Crazy Horse for their first collaborative disc in nine
years. “Americana” is due June 5th, and consists primarily of American folk songs……The
Beatles’ Yellow Submarine film has been restored and will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray May 29th.
The film’s songtrack album will be reissued the same day.
Metal vets Trixter are back with a new album. “New Audio Machine” is on schedule for an April 24th
street date, featuring the newly released single, “Tattoos And Misery,” which is currently available on
iTunes…..Improvisational guitarist Wayne Krantz has booked an April 17th release for his tenth studio
album, “Howie 61.”
Clip Board: Electric Sun head out for a fun day of kite flying and rocking in their new clip for “Don’t Look
